Sri Lanka sell 2025, 2028 bonds raising Rs40bn
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has raised 40 billion rupees in 2025 and 2028 bonds selling the entire offered quantity in both maturities, data from the state debt office showed.
All 15 billion rupees of 01 June 2025 bonds were sold at 22.38 percent.
All 25 billion rupees of 15 January 2028 bonds were sold at 21.86 percent
Both bonds would be offered on tap at the weighted average rate until 0400pm on May 31.
The longer term bonds were sold at slightly lower rates than Treasury bill yields. (Colombo/May31/2022)
