Sri Lanka Treasuries yields ease
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Treasuries yields steadied after recent steep spikes with the 3-month yield falling 05 basis points to 23.48 percent, data from the state debt office showed.
“There is a lot of demand, from individuals, corporates and insurance companies,” a dealer said.
The debt office offered 97.5 billion rupees of bills and sold the full offer with 74.06 billion rupees coming from 3-month bills.
The 6-month yield fell 09 basis points to 23.85 percent with 9.5 billion rupees of bills being sold.
The 12-month yield fell 17 basis points to 23.92 percent with 13.8 billion rupees of bills being sold.
There is strong interest in Treasury bills and bonds from real investors after rates went up. (Colombo/May04/2022)
