Sri Lanka shares slip over 1.5-pct in mid-day trade

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks fell over 1.5 percent within the first hour of trade, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.

The main All Share Price Index slipped 1.52 percent or 113.92 points to 7,358.47 at 1135 hrs on June 20.

The more liquid index S&P SL20 fell 1.80 percent or 42.55 points to 2,326.10.

The market generated a turnover of 463 million rupees.

ASPI was dragged down by Expolanka, LOLC Holdings and Hayleys PLC. (Colombo/June20/2022)
