Sri Lanka shares slip in mid-day trade

Stocks fall for the first time in five sessions.

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka shares continued to slip in mid-day trade on Thursday after opening over 1-percent weaker, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.

The main All Share Price Index slipped 0.39 percent or 28.44 points to 7,337.23 at 1130 hours.

The most liquid index was down 0.77 percent or 18.30 points to 2,346.92.

Market generated a marginal 400 million rupees.

Top losers were Expolanka, LOLC Holdings and Sampath Bank. (Colombo/Jul14/2022)
