Sri Lanka rupee dollar ‘guidance rate’ edges up; bond yields up

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee closed steady at 367 against US dollar at the close of Friday trading with no change from the previous day of trading, Commercial bank’s data showed.

The central bank’s interbank spot was at 359.75 on Friday, from Thursday’s 359.85.

In the secondary market, a few maturities were active, dealers said.

The bonds maturing on June 1, 2025 was closed at 20.40/75 percent, while yield in three-month T-bill closed at 20.40/80 percent on Friday up from 20.30/50 at Thursday close.

The one-year T-bill yield closed at 21.85/22.15 percent, up from 21.80/22.00 percent on Thursday. (Colombo/June 17/2022)
