Sri Lanka imposes price controls on rice

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Consumer Affairs Authority has imposed price controls on rice after a earlier removing them when the controls triggered shortages.

The CAA has decreed that Nadu variety steamed rice should be sold at 220 rupees.

Samba steamed rice controlled at 230 rupees a kilogram.

Keeri Samba local at 260 rupees a kilogram
